Welcome to the Well Knit Tech blog! I’m Well Knit Tech, a technology enthusiast with a passion for exploring and understanding many different technologies. In this blog, I’ll be sharing my thoughts and insights on a variety of topics, including cryptocurrency, computer networking, malware analysis, incident response, system administration, and even some other topics as I feel inspired.
I have a background in systems administration and have always been fascinated by the ways in which technology is constantly evolving and changing. My first system I configured for server use was an Ubuntu Linux server (Dapper Drake) to host a website out of my mother’s bedroom over our slow and unreliable DSL connection. Since then, I have kept up with technology trends and developments, and I’m always looking for new and exciting ways to learn and grow.
One of my interests is cryptocurrency. I find it fascinating to see how this decentralized digital currency is disrupting traditional financial systems and changing the way we think about money. While I find the current market too volatile for my liking, I think future economies will thrive on a decentralized currency system.
I’m also deeply interested in computer networking, administration, and security. I enjoy learning about new technologies and protocols that are being developed to improve the performance and security of networks. I have spent years working for ISPs, network support, and in a Network Operations Center context, in addition to administering and securing enterprise networks.
In addition to my interests in cryptocurrency and computer networks, I’m also passionate about malware analysis and incident response. I believe that these are critical areas of focus for anyone working in technology (especially security), as they are essential for protecting systems and data from cyber threats.
I hope that this blog will be a helpful resource for anyone interested in these topics. I’ll be sharing my thoughts and insights here.
